Boy, does that moose rack look familiar, as in John and I dragged the thing around in Manitoba... Nancy forwarded this from our garage on Vista Dr. Glad to see that all the spider webs and rest of stuff (junk) in garage were artfully removed.
I started out painting with oils after a friend left a box of various art materials on my front porch in Bloomington, Indiana. Eventually I tried watercolors and found it to be very challenging and a more enjoyable medium to work with. At some point I decided to try painting with coffee. It has a limited range and requires a LOT of over-painting to obtain truly dark areas. After several experiments with various grounds and brewing styles I concluded the best solution was using instant coffee as the base, mixing in the sooty leftovers from the bottom of one's coffee mug with thinners of regular coffee and plain water.
